Joe, you completed the assignment: clear inside/outside, single entry (wouldn’t even need a label) large space, small space, zones, transitions. Only the GT doesn’t do it. as the two zones are part of the same larger space, the joint of the two zones can’t be gradual. Try to turn your transitional space into the GT. To do that you might have to introduce a few more columns and play with the precise placement of the columns leading to the small space.
You are so close to putting everything into your solution, you might also want to play with the spaces themselves: the large space especially seems to suffer from the somewhat random transition of the two geometries. The two opposite corners (with columns) could develop a common theme/reaction to adjacent elements. Play with the columns indicating the joint between the two zones; spacing, alignment with adjacent elements, joint geometry. Amaze yourself how you can change the feel of the large space with just moving these columns around.

Joe, I find the way you have arranged the various pieces of the assignment very fascinating, I wonder though if something of your intent is lost in translation. Often great designers and great designs never find the light because of the way that they communicate or are communicated. Succinctly, might the presentation of your design be almost as important as the design itself. In fashion, your dear friend, Karrick
